our founder's story
hi, i'm autumn, founder of banginhair, a natural health professional, holistic health practitioner, and naturopathic doctor.
banginhair wasn't created because i wanted to start a beauty brand. it was born from one of the hardest seasons of my life.
after years of living with endometriosis, hormonal imbalances, and the frustration of searching for answers, i underwent laparoscopic surgery. like so many women navigating hormonal health challenges, i experienced hormonal hair loss that affected not only my hair but also my confidence. i was determined to find products that truly aligned with whole body wellness, but instead i found shelves filled with formulas that focused on trends rather than thoughtfully selected ingredients. that experience changed the course of my life.
i went back to school to become a natural health professional, holistic health practitioner, and naturopathic doctor so i could better understand the connection between ingredients, scalp health, and overall wellness. my goal was never to create just another shampoo and conditioner. i wanted to create the products i wished i had during my own healing journey.
working alongside experienced formulators, i carefully selected ingredients known for supporting a healthy scalp and healthy looking hair, creating formulas that are intentionally made without synthetic fragrance and other ingredients we chose not to include. every ingredient is there for a reason.
today, banginhair is about so much more than hair. it's about giving women products they can feel good about using, educating our community about ingredients, advocating for women's health, and reminding every woman that she deserves products created with intention, transparency, and care.
what started from pain became purpose. and that purpose is helping women feel confident in every strand of their hair.

the endometriosis foundation of america strives to increase disease recognition, provide advocacy, facilitate expert surgical training, and fund landmark endometriosis research. engaged in a robust campaign to inform both the medical community and the public, the endofound places particular emphasis on the critical importance of early diagnosis and effective intervention while simultaneously providing education to the next generation of medical professionals and their patients.
