Just Another J&J Shampoo Class Action Lawsuit- 2024

Have you heard about the latest drama with Johnson & Johnson? So, there's this new class action lawsuit filed against them in New York, and it's all about their Neutrogena shampoo. Can you believe it?

Legally BlondeEverett Collection

Basically, this woman named Melissa Gonick is leading the charge, claiming J&J tricked consumers like us into thinking their Neutrogena T/Sal Therapeutic Shampoo was preservative-free when it actually contains citric acid. Yeah, that stuff is apparently considered a preservative, even though they said otherwise on the label. Sneaky, right?

Melissa's argument is that she bought this shampoo multiple times thinking it was healthier without preservatives, only to find out she was misled. And get this—the FDA agrees that citric acid is indeed used to preserve stuff, so it's not just her saying this.

The lawsuit's all about how companies market products to health-conscious consumers like us, making us pay a premium for what we think are natural, preservative-free goodies. But turns out, they're not always as clean as they claim. It's frustrating because so many of us choose products based on these labels, trying to avoid chemicals and all that jazz.

And get this—Melissa isn't just in it for herself. She wants this lawsuit to cover everyone who bought the shampoo across the country and specifically in New York. She's going after Johnson & Johnson for breaking New York consumer laws and messing with warranties and all that legal jazz.

Remember that other lawsuit about Aveeno Baby products? Seems like J&J's been in hot water before for allegedly not being upfront about their products. It's like, how many times are they gonna pull this before they learn?

So, if you've been using Neutrogena shampoo thinking it's free of preservatives, you might wanna keep an eye on this lawsuit. Who knows, we might even get a refund or something if Melissa and her lawyers pull this off. Crazy, right? Always read the fine print, babe.
